As event hosts and organisers, Champions (UK) Plc are delighted to announce the huge success of this years Numark British Par 3 Championships.

Celebrating its 75th Anniversary, with the legendary Tony Jacklin CBE hosting all 4 days, Nailcote Hall in the Midlands was awash with a host of famous faces and professionals golfers.

Celebrities such as DJ Spoony, Jasper Carrot, Peter Shilton MBE OBE, Willie Thorne, Lee Sharpe, Peter Schemeichel and William Roache MBE (to name but a few!), could be seen making their way around the notorious par 3 course with their team mates on 4th and 7th August.

Professionals competing for the title of Numark British Par 3 Champion 2008 included Mark Mouland, Graeme Storm, Lee Slattery and Dave Edwards. After 2 grueling days around the challenging Cromwell course, Mark Mouland was crowned the overall winner with a finishing score of 5 under par and walked away with the £5000 prize fund.

During the evenings, celebrities, professionals and their guests were invited to attend a black-tie, gala dinner in tribute to Sir Tommy Horton and also invited to attend the official prize giving ceremonies. The grand finale on the Thursday evening was again a black-tie gala dinner in which guests were treated to a banquet of fine food, wine and entertainment which saw the celebrations last long into the early hours!

Excitement is already growing for next years championship with both Tony Jacklin CBE and Peter Schemeichel eagerly awaiting their invite in the post.
